Nigel Slater’s “Tender” was one of my Christmas presents. I’m not sure whether to post this here or in my garden blog as it’s a mix of gardening and cooking. I really like his vegetable plots. Lovely little plots each surrounded by box hedging. Garden porn. He writes well, the book is fun to read and informative. The recipes that I’ve followed so far - Baked aubergines with thyme and cream, baked potatoes with leeks and cheese and stuffed peppers for an autumn day - have turned out really well.
