not haiku
Sunday 17 February 2008
Brenda used to get the kids to do all sorts of
things. Esther wrote this when she was 7 and I found
it as I was clearing stuff up; written out in
Grandma's hand. Somewhere there's a book of haiku
that we all wrote together one summer. Brenda made
some paper, wrote them all out and gave us a bound
copy. We cannot find it.
the swoshing of a waterfall
the sound of birds tweeting
the sound of leaves rustling
the sound of drums banging
the sound of torn newspaper
the sound of people talking
the sound of wind whistling
the sound of presents being opened

Music is...
the swoshing of a waterfall
the sound of birds tweeting
the sound of leaves rustling
the sound of drums banging
the sound of torn newspaper
the sound of people talking
the sound of wind whistling
the sound of presents being opened
