Just Cruisin'

My mate Rod saved my life on Sunday by picking me up from my hotel, spending the day with me and then taking me home with him to Dena and Alexander and a meal. Here we are cruising down Highway 1 in California.

Esther acts

Went to Bradfield last night to see Esther in Two (by Jim Cartwright). They were all very good (the ir northern accents weren't bad at all) and Esther has a really good singing voice.

Cold but dry

Wobmob had its meeting in Binfield today. As usual, we went out for a social run before it. There were around 20 bikes. The roads were nice and dry but it's turned cold; it really is autumn. At one point, coming round a long left hand bend, a gust of wind caught a pile of autumn leaves and swept them across the road just as I ploughed through them, very zen.

Old leaves skip across the road

We made it

asleep

Just got back from our Great European Adventure. 7 bikes across Spain and France, only 6 made it back. I'm now tired, damp and cold. Brilliant time though.

The last day was a 300 mile slot down motorways and across lorry routes to Le Havre. We decided not to leave Ken and Therese in Limoge hunting down a Ducati dealer and mythical water bottle. Instead we nursed the 996 home with regular stops and water top ups. Fish, chips and mushy peas followed by a sleep on the ferry.

Amazingly, it didn't rain until we hit England.
