Esther came home for the weekend. Here she is being mugged by cats.

A Walk Around Ashwell

Gill and I drove to Ashwell and made up a walk. All very pretty.

Barrington

I've been driving and riding through Barrington for a year now. It's a pretty village with a lot of thatched houses. What's interesting is that a number of the thatches have signature figures on their roofs. This is one with a wild boar, others have ducks, pheasants, a spider and a greyhound.

Kitchen Blues

It's in progress, but we're at a low point. Basically, no units but we do have a sink, a dishwasher and a stove. We went to Waitrose and bought a load of ready meals to see us through. Oh the shame.

Mountain Biking

I went out on my mountain bike on Sunday. I ended up covering part of the route Steve and I did where Steve got a puncture. Very pretty. All in all, I did around 20 Km. The gears are starting to miss a bit on the front, cables must have stretched - I need to service it.
